According to the present invention, an organic electroluminescent device comprises: a device substrate on which a plurality of pixel regions are defined; a switching thin film transistor and a driving thin film transistor formed in the pixel regions on the device substrate; an organic electroluminescent diode connected to a drain electrode of the driving thin film transistor; an organic thick film layer installed on the organic electroluminescent diode; and a barrier film attached to the organic thick film layer. The device substrate and the organic thick film layer are formed in the same thickness. Therefore, the organic electroluminescent device can prevent cracks occurring in an inorganic layer when stress occurs in the organic electroluminescent device.
