PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of enhancing contrast of a video image, preventing self moire and ghost, and suppressing occurrence of Newton rings.SOLUTION: The display device includes at least: a video light source; an optical function layer which is arranged closer to an observer side than the video light source and controls incident light from the video light source and emits it to the observer side; and a front plate arranged closer to the observer side than the optical function layer. The optical function layer includes a base material layer, a plurality of light transmission sections arranged on the base material layer in parallel along the sheet surface, and a plurality of light absorbing sections arranged in parallel between the light transmission sections. The light transmission sections have convex sections which are projected toward the video light source side in cross section in a sheet thickness direction, with their video light source side surfaces curved or linearly folded. The video light source and the optical function layer are arranged so that the apexes of the light transmission sections are in contact with the video light source through an air interface or through gaps of 5 mm or less. |
