A display device (100) is presented in various exemplary embodiments. Said display device (100) comprises an image region (140) having a plurality of photosensors (104) and a plurality of pixels (102); further comprises a first electrode layer (108) and a second electrode layer (106) which is insulated from the first electrode layer (108) and is located at a distance therefrom; the plurality of pixels (102) and the plurality of photosensors (104) are electrically connected to the first electrode layer (108) and the second electrode layer (106) and are sandwiched therebetween; the display device also comprises a first computing unit (160) that is electrically connected to the plurality of photosensors (104) and is designed to determine a variation over time of the light intensity in a given area of the image region, said light intensity being determined by at least one photosensor; and a second computing unit that is electrically connected to the plurality of pixels (102) and is designed to control the pixels (102) such that a predefined image is displayed in the image region and is also designed to modify the image content of the predefined image by means of the determined variation over time of the determined light intensity in the given area.
