PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric composition that has an excellent relative dielectric constant and specific resistance over a temperature range from 25°C to 250°C, and to provide an electronic component using the same.SOLUTION: In one embodiment, the dielectric composition is provided that contains: a main component represented by a general formula of xBi(MTi)O-(1-x)BaTiO, where x is 0.03≤x≤0.15 and M is Mg or Zn; and contains as a first subcomponent for the main component, at least one compound selected from (BaCa)SiO, SiO, MnO, CoO, BiO, LiO, BOand AlO, where y is 0≤y≤1, the first subcomponent being contained in an amount of 0.1 mole≤first subcomponent≤10 mole for 100 moles of the main component. In another embodiment, the dielectric composition is provided in which the dielectric composition in the above one embodiment further contains a second subcomponent containing at least 1 element selected from V, Nb or Ta, in an amount of 0.1≤second subcomponent≤10 mole for 100 moles for the main component.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
