The invention relates to a barcode-reading device (10) including an apparatus (12) for reading barcodes having: a) a light-emitting system (14); b) a light-recovery system (28) capable of recovering light reflected by an effective viewing area through a system for conditioning reflected light (30); and c) a photoelectric sensor (26). The invention is characterised in that the device (10) includes an auxiliary optical system (36) which is permanently arranged inside the effective viewing area, spaced apart from the sensor (26), and in series with the system for conditioning reflected light (30) such that part of but not all of the effective viewing area is intercepted by the auxiliary optical system (36). |
