Provided is a power conditioning device capable of conditioning supply and demand of power with an appropriate timing. A power distribution system (1) has a power conditioning device (10), a power consumption unit (20), and a controllable apparatus (30). The power conditioning device (10) has a difference calculation unit (12) and an instruction unit (14). The difference calculation unit (12) calculates a first difference between an amount of supply power relating to the amount of power that can be supplied to at least one power consumption unit (20) and an actual value relating to a record of the amount of power actually consumed by the power consumption unit (20). In a case in which a second difference, obtained by subtracting the first difference from a conditioning capability value that indicates a conditioning capability of at least one controllable apparatus (30), is equal to or less than a threshold value, the instruction unit (14) gives the controllable apparatus (30) an instruction for conditioning power. |
