The brake pressure cylinder (1) housing is fixed to the solenoid housing (4), a seal being provided between them. The cylinder contains a presure relief piston (8) dividing it into a fluid entry chamber (14) and a drain chamber (16). An axial bore (18) in the piston connects the two chambers. The flow between the two chambers (14, 16) is controlled by a valve located on the drain side (10), the valve push rod (19) being actuated by an electromagnet (6). A return spring (1) is fitted between valve housing and core.
