摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic material having an excellent cold forgeability and a wear resistance used for such various electromagnetic actuators as a solenoid, an electromagnetic valve, an injector, or various electromagnetic sensors or the like. SOLUTION: The material consists of, by wt., <=0.1 % C, 0.1 to 5% Ni, 3 to 20% Cr, 0.1 to 10% Al, <=5% Ti, <=5% Nb, <=0.05% N, <=0.02% O, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, and the diameter of a nonmetallic inclusion in the steel is 200 &mu;m or smaller. Further, in addition, the metal consists of one, two, or more kinds of <=5% Si, <=5% Ti, <=1% Zr, <=1% V, <=1% Nb, and <=1% Ta, and/or one, two, or more kinds of <=0.5% S, <=2 % Mn, <=0.3% Ca, <=0.3% Mg, <=0.3% Pb, <=0.3% Se, and <=0.3% Te, and/or one or two kinds of <=5% Mo and <=5% Cu.
