PURPOSE:To eliminate an inner liner jig, to facilitate operation by welding a pair of inner liners after temporarily holding them with pins. CONSTITUTION:An upper inner member 11 is inserted into a lower inner member 12 at their butt ends 14A and 15A. and 14B and 15B, as shown. Pins 17A and 17B are then pressed into the clearances between the butt end 14A and a shoulder 16A, and another butt end 14B and shoulder 18B, respectively, so as to hold the inner members temporarily in their correct positions. Thereafter, the inner members 11 and 12 are spot welded or brazed at their butt ends 14A and 15A, and 14B and 15B, forming a unit which serves as an inner liner 13. The inner liner 13 is pressed into an outer liner 20, which is again an assembled unit of two inner members 18 and 19 welded together at their butt ends, with the ends 16A and 16B in close contact with the inside wall of the outer liner 20. |
