<p>PURPOSE:To simply perform a molding when sealing a luminescent element with resin by a method wherein an external shape of resin is formed according to the internal shape of the cap which was prepared in advance. CONSTITUTION:At the point of one of a set of leads, which are coupled by a tie bar 6, the luminescent element 2 is fixed and an electrode provided on the above is connected to the point of one of the other leads using a wire 3. Then they are sealed with the element 2 and the wire 3 using resin, but at this time, the external shape of molding resin 4 is formed according to the inside diameters of caps 5 which have various shapes suited to cover the above sealing and the lead is cut off at the point above the tie bar 6. As a result, the shapes of the caps are selected easily in accordance with the requirements of the market and the degree of freedom can be increased remarkably.</p> |
