PURPOSE:To allow >=2 systems to reside together in one system medium by specifying a system to be started when a system start switch is turned on, and reading information out of a system storage device to a main storage device. CONSTITUTION:A system specifying switch SW 12 is pressed to set the display on a system specifying SW state display device 13 to zero, and a power SW 11 is pressed to turn on the power source and then an initial program reading circuit 15 operates and an SW state reading circuit 14 is put in operation to read the state of the SW 12. At this time, a value zero is obtained, so the startup of the system is confirmed and the circuit 15 reads an initial program 21 for a system A out of an external storage device 20 and stores it in the main storage device 17. The stored initial program is executed by a CPU 16 to complete the startup of the system A. When the power source is turned on while the state of the SW 12 is set to 1, an initial program 22 for a system B is started up similarly. |
