PURPOSE:To form an electrostatic recording body which decreases the drop-out of fine lines even in high-resolution recording by, for example, 16dots/mm recording electrodes and has small expandability and contractability and good runnability by forming a conductive base in such a manner that the surface characteristic thereof is less deteriorated even if temp. and humidity conditions change. CONSTITUTION:This recording body is formed by bringing the paper surface of the base contg. a conducting agent in a wet state into press and tight contact with a heating specular surface, drying the base in such a manner that the center line average height specified by JIS-B0601 on the press contact side thereof attains <=2.5mum, coating and forming a conductive layer, according to need, to the press and tight contact side thereof after drying then forming a dielectric layer thereon. The wet state of the base is preferably >=60% moisture content and the one surface of the paper is brought into press and tight contact with the heating drum having the specular surface and is then dried to <=15% moisture content. For example, a polyvinyl benzyltrimethylammonium chloride or the like is usable for the conducting agent to be incorporated into the base and the amt. of the conducting agent to be coated is preferably made 1-5g/m<2>. |
