摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal transfer material having a heat-resistant protective lubricating layer and improved in running properties by providing a thermal transfer functional ink layer on one surface of a base film material and providing a heat-resistant protective lubricating layer wherein a fine solid lubricant powder is dispersed in an org. binder onto the other surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:As a base material, a film or paper can be used and, as thermal transfer functional ink, there are two kinds of a thermal melt transfer type and a thermal sublimation transfer type but there is no special limit. A heat- resistant protective lubricating layer is formed by dispersing a fine solid lubricant powder in a heat-resistant org. binder. As the heat-resistant org. binder, a resin satisfying many conditions such that intermolecular force is strong and fusion enthalpy is small and interatomic bonding energy is large is desirable and, concretely, an aromatic amide resin is desirable. By the use of this resin as the binder, a heat-resistant protective layer stable against the quantity of heat supplied by a thermal head can be formed. As the solid lubricant, graphite is desirable as an inorg. compound. The protective layer having lubricity can be formed by finely dividing the solid lubricant to uniformly disperse the same in the org. binder.
