<p>PURPOSE:A hollow container useful for foods, etc. having improved glare protection, pigmented in transparent brownish color, with its contents to be seen, obtained by adding iron oxide, carbon black, an alkylene bisfatty acid amide, etc. to a thermoplastic polyester. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. thermoplastic polyester comprising ethylene terephthalate as a main repeating unit, having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.6-20, usually consisting of not less than 80mol% terephthalic acid as an acid ingredient and not less than 80mol% ethylene glycol as a glycol ingredient, is blended with 0.001- 2.0pts.wt. iron oxide shown by the formula Fe2O3.xH2O (x>0) having an average particle diameter 0.01-0.03mu, not more than 0.1pt.wt. carbon black (preferably channel black), and 0.001-1.5pts.wt. alkylenebisfatty acid and/or 0.001- 0.4pt.wt. magnesium stearate in molten state to give colored pellets, which are processed by a blow molding machine.</p> |
