PURPOSE: An indoor unit of a convertible air conditioner is provided to stabilize a vortex flow by installing a cross flow fan at an indoor heat exchanger, to reduce the number of components and working time, to increase a discharge airflow rate, and to reduce a noise. CONSTITUTION: A ratio of a sectional area(A1) of a suction port to a sectional area(A2) of a discharge port is less than 1. A rear guider(150) is installed at the rear portion of a cross flow fan(130). An angle(alpha) formed by a normal connecting the reading edge(P1) to the center(0) of the cross flow fan and another normal connecting the final edge(P2) to the center of the cross flow fan is within 120-150 angular degrees. A linear distance(L2) from the final curvature edge of the rear guider to the center of the cross flow fan is within 85-95% to the diameter(D) of the cross flow fan. A stabilizer(160) has the radius(R) within 10-15mm. An angle(beta) formed by a normal connecting the center(Q) of the final curve of the stabilizer to the center of the cross flow fan and another normal connecting the final curvature edge of the rear guide to the center of the cross flow fan is within 65-70 angular degrees.
