PURPOSE:To improve the abrasion resistance of the sliding member provided between the rotor and the vibrator of an ultrasonic motor. CONSTITUTION:In an ultrasonic motor, which drives the driven member 7 pressed to the surface 6a of an oscillator 6 by generating ultrasonic vibration at the surface 6a of a vibrator 6 by a piezoelectric element 5, an aramide molded item 8, where 100% aramide powder is compacted under high temperature and high pressure, is provided at, at least, either the surface 6a of the said oscillator 6 or the sliding face of the driven member 7. A lustrous boundary layer is formed at the sliding face of the aramide molded item 8. By the pseudo lubricating action of the boundary layer, the stick can be prevented. Moreover, abrasion resistance improves. |
