<p>A method and a device for the in situ treatment of aquatic sediment are disclosed. The method comprises combining two or three complementary treatments (mechanical, chemical and biological treatments, mechanical and chemical treatments or mechanical and biological treatments) in situ in order to convert the sediment into so-called micronised, conditioned and microorganism-inoculated sludge and thus enable the organic material of the sediment to be digested and mineralised by selected indigenous microorganisms. The device for carrying out the method consists of a frame (8) covered by a housing (10) and comprises skids (9) enabling it to move over the sediment, mechanical means for reducing the sediments to microparticles and mixing same with the treatment agents and bacteria inside the housing (10), means for injecting the treatment agents and means for injecting the bacteria. The device is towed by land-based or floating structures (2) suitable for use in the areas being treated.</p> |
