The testing device which comprises a first joint extending upright from a base (11), a final joint having attached thereto a holder (24) for holding the grip of a ball batting implement, an intermediate joint disposed between the first and final joints, these first, intermediate and final joints being successively connected and adapted to be rotated by individual driving devices, wherein a ball batting implement held by the holder of the final joint is subjected to swing turning in the X-, Y- and Z- directions and/or turning around the longitudinal axis of the ball batting implement held by the holder, enabling adjustment for increase or decrease of the distance from the base to the batting plane corresponding to the motion of a person swinging his arm up and then down with the hand gripping the ball batting implement, or adjustment for change of the angle of the batting plane corresponding to the adduction or abduction of the arm and/or adjustment for change of the angle formed between the longitudinal center axis of the ball batting implement and the base.
