The primary disk (6) has an external profile (10) to combine with the mating profile (11) on the secondary disk, to immobilize the frames. The primary disk has a threaded extension (12), along the axis of rotation (X), to cooperate with the threaded fixing collar (15), to secure the two disks together. The vehicle seat consists of two frames (2a, 3a) mounted to pivot, one relative to the other, around the axis (X). The hinge mechanism (4) allows for locking the relative angular positions, by two disks (6, 7), each fixed to part of the frame.
