PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the lighting voltage of an exposure lamp for generating specified light quantity to be low, to prolong the life of the exposure lamp and to reduce the power consumption of the device by removing a heat absorbing glass from an illuminating light optical path in an ordinary mode. SOLUTION: When a copying mode is a running read mode, a solenoid driver is turned off, so that a solenoid 508 is not driven, and the heat absorbing glass 505 is arranged in the middle of the optical path. Then, the exposure lamp part 6a is moved and fixed in the center of an original platen 5 so as to execute copying operation. Meanwhile, when the copying mode is a fixed read mode, the solenoid 508 is driven according to an instruction from a controller, so that a bar 509 is pulled in a direction (a), and the glass 505 is turned in a direction (b) with center at a fulcrum 507 and fixed at a position(shown by a dotted line 505) out of the optical path. The exposure lamp part 6a scans in a direction (c) and exposes an original S1. At such a time, since the glass 505 is removed from the optical path in the fixed read mode and the light quantity to expose the original S1 is increased, the lighting voltage is set to be low. |
