PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten collision avoiding effect by stabilizing the behavior of a vehicle at the time of automatic braking by a collision avoiding device. SOLUTION: A steering control means 22 is provided with an active steering reaction computing means 25 in addition to a normal motor-driven power steering control means 24. In case of a vehicle receiving disturbance such as the uneven road surface, the active steering reaction computing means 25 drives a motor 17 of a steering system to as to compensate the influence of the disturbance. When an obstruction detecting means such as a laser radar detects an obstruction and automatic braking is executed, a control parameter changing means 26 receiving an automatic braking operation signal changes a control parameter of active steering reaction control. As a result, the steering control means 22 performs control of suppressing the influence of the disturbance powerfully at the time of automatic braking of the vehicle compared to the time of non-braking, so that the course disorder of the vehicle is prevented to ensure sufficient braking force, thereby heightening collision avoiding effect. |
