PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cultivating crops by using a plant activator which is obtained by formulating vinegar with an oligosaccharide and a plant- extracted component and has crop functionality such as a controlling effect on disease and insect pest, etc. SOLUTION: This plant activator is obtained by formulating vinegar with a branched oligosaccharide-containing saccharide and/or a trehalose-containing saccharide and a plant extracted component selected from hinokitiol, an essence of Sasa albo-marginate, tea polyphenol and an essence of Phyllostachys pubescens. Crop functionality is selected from among weed control, germination control, reduction in lodging, control of disease damage, inspect pest control and prevention of repeated culivation failure. |
