摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the light leakage of a liquid crystal display device by providing plural spacers scattered inside a liquid crystal line material layer for arraying surrounding liquid crystal line molecules in a specified direction. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal layer 30 is formed between two transparent substrates 10 and 20. In the liquid crystal layer 30, a liquid crystal line material is injected and the spacers 40 are scattered. The liquid crystal line molecules for forming the liquid crystal layer 30 are arrayed in a direction parallel to the two substrates 10 and 20 in the initial state of forming no electric field and the alignment direction of the liquid crystal line molecules is arrayed so as to form a fixed angle with respect to the direction of the electric field generated at the time of impressing the electric field to the liquid crystal layer 30. Polarizing plates 61 and 62 are respectively mounted on the outer surfaces of the substrates 10 and 20. In this case, the interval of the two substrates 10 and 20 is appropriately maintained by the spacers 40 scattered in the liquid crystal layer 30. In such a manner, the plural spacers 40 are scattered inside the liquid crystal line material layer and array the surrounding liquid crystal line molecules in the specified direction.</p>
