摘要 A process for preparing an inorganic porous material comprising the steps of forming a solution of a hydrolysable inorganic compound with a non-ionic surfactant having organic molecules, inducing growth and condensation of a solid compensation comprising an inorganic composition in intimate contact with said organic molecules, and extracting said organic molecules from the inorganic composition so as to provide an inorganic porous material having mesopore void volume of at least 0.1 cc/g and having enhanced stability under thermal and hydrothermal conditions. The step of inducing growth and condensation can include adjustment of the solution of the pH to within Ò2 pH numbers of the isoelectric point mean value of the inorganic species. The extracting step can comprise calcination of the organic molecules at temperatures of about 400 to 800{C, for at least one hour. Also the process can include adding an organic water insoluble compound, e.g. p-xylene, trimethylbenzene to the solution, wherby the size and volume of the channels are enhanced.
