A glass fiber forming apparatus (10) including a fin blade assembly (20) having a manifold (24) and a plurality of fins (22) extending from the manifold (24). The fins (22) are located beneath a bushing tip plate (8) in proximity to and between the rows of tips (8) to maintain a desired temperature among the glass filaments attenuated from the tips (8). The manifold (24) is offset from the fin blades (22) so as to allow clear visibility of the tip plate (8) and unimpeded air flow passage through the f in blades (22) during the glass fiber forming operation.
