An advertising method using a digital file such as a digital audio data or a digital motion picture data is disclosed. Further, a motion picture telephone receiver is disclosed which makes it possible to view motion picture advertisements by using a digital file. In the advertising method using the digital file, an advertisement or a public announcement can be inserted into a digital audio file or into motion picture telephone receiver, so that the advertisement or the public announcement would be displayed during the reproduction of the digital file or during the telephone talks. Therefore, the products or services to be sold can be widely advertised. Further, in the case where an advertisement data is loaded in a digital file, the digital files are distributed at no charge or at a discounted rate, so that the advertisement can be widely promoted. Thus the users of digital file gain benefits, while the advertisement is promoted. |
