PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a humidity separator capable of drastically reducing interfering materials during delivery and its replacing method without temporarily removing a high pressure turbine during replacing the humidity separator of reactor power station. SOLUTION: In this replacing method, a humidity separator provided with a multitude of humidity separation elements 9 in a horizontally long shell body 8, blocked at both ends of the shell body 8 with a pair of end plates 10, and fixed by hanging bands 6 on the outer surface of the shell body 8 near the connection part to the heads 10 is cut in round slices in between the shell body 8 and the heads 10. From the cut opening 28, the degraded humidity separation elements a in the shell body 8 are taken out and then a new humidity separator is inserted and fixed in the shell body 8. One end of the ring shape shell 27 is connected with the cut piece 28, and to the other end of the ring shape shell 27, the and plates 10 are connected.
