A vehicle ice formation hampering system utilizes at least one ultrasound frequency to retard the formation of ice or frost on a window of the vehicle. An ultrasonic generation circuit is coupled to a vehicle radio, and outputs an ultrasonic signal using an amplifier system of the vehicle radio. The output of the amplifier system is provided to either piezo cable, piezo film, or ceramic transducers, which operate in the ultrasonic frequency range, and which are coupled to the window of the vehicle. The vibrations provided to the window hamper the formation of ice and/or frost that may form on the window. |
