PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a stable output voltage and reduce a power consumption in a light load state. SOLUTION: The base drive circuit of a main switching device 1 comprises a current detection circuit, consisting of a 2nd transistor 3 which detects a light load, a gate drive circuit consisting of a 1st transistor 2 which controls the on/off of the main switching device l and a multivibrator consisting of a 1st operational amplifier 26 and a 2nd operational amplifier 31, which are made to oscillate intermittently.
