PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize miniaturization, easy installation, improvement of fund efficiency, operability, and improvement of safety of cash management by eliminating an incorporated cassette which is conventionally provided for cash loading and replenishment or recovery. SOLUTION: A cash reception and delivery means (x) which receives and delivers cash from and to a cash loading and recovery unit 13 and an information communication connection means which communicates information of received or delivered cash with the cash loading and recovery unit are provided on the customer operation face side of an automatic cash handling device 1, and the cash loading and recovery unit 13 is provided with a similar cash reception and delivery means (y), a similar information communication connection means, a discrimination means, a reject part 14 which stores rejected paper money, and a means (a unit control part 19) which settles information related to received or delivered cash. At the time of cash loading or recovery, cash reception and delivery means and information communication connection means of each of the cash handling device and the cash loading and recovery unit are connected facing each other to perform cash reception and delivery and communication of information related to reception and delivery.
