PURPOSE: A method for setting up a menu of a digital TV is to graphic-process all ratings corresponding to selected one when a user selects an age block or content block of MPAA(Motion Picture Association of America) or TVPG(Television Parental Guidelines) from a rating setting menu. CONSTITUTION: A method of setting up a menu of a digital TV comprises the steps of: selecting one out of a plurality of broadcasting program ratings; performing a graphic process of the selected rating and other related ratings, and displaying the selected rating and a sub menu corresponding to the rating; and variably setting the rating and the sub menu along with other ratings related to each other and other sub menus corresponding to the ratings. In the method, the graphic rating is displayed in the form of a scroll bar. When automatically displaying the rating and the sub menu, an explanation corresponding to each rating and sub menu is also displayed. If a high level rating and a sub menu corresponding to the rating are selected, a lower level rating is also automatically set up. |
