PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sodium purification electrolytic tank for efficiently purifying contaminated sodium by an electrolytic purification utilizing aβ-alumina pipe, and to provide a treating method of radioactive sodium waste using this. SOLUTION: The sodium purification electrolytic tank comprises a tank body 1 for storing sodium to be treated, and a cap body 2 sealing this tank body 1. A cell 10 for electrode, provided with aβ-alumina pipe 11 for electrolytically/purifying the sodium is mounted to the cap body 2, so as to be immersed in the sodium. The sodium, subjected to an electrolytic processing using this cell 10, is turned into a sodium compound in a reactor. Thereafter, the sodium compound thus obtained is turned into a solid or liquid form. Then, the sodium compound is subjected to solidification treatment or is stored and kept.
