PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems of a conventional internal combustion engine, wherein exhaust gas includes harmful nitrogen oxide and carbon dioxide, thermal efficiency is poor, and a method using emulsified fuel, which restricts the amount of addition of water, can reduce the internal temperature of a combustion chamber in some degree but insufficiently. SOLUTION: Water is sprayed into a combustion chamber where it is vaporized by thermal energy included in combustion gas. Fuel and an oxidizing agent are sprayed direct into the combustion chamber via an injection valve. The oxidizing agent does not include nitrogen. Hydrogen is used as the fuel so that exhaust gas does not include carbon dioxide. |
