PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of paper wrinkling and slip without depending upon the number of print sheets and to prevent the splashing of toners and paper powder to the outside of a machine and the inflow of dust and dirt into the machine with simple constitution by providing the above device with an air intake fan and constituting this fan in such a manner that the air quantity of the fan is varied according to the number of the print sheets. SOLUTION: This device is provided with the function fan which is so constituted that the air quantity of the fan is varied according to the number of the print sheets. With this device, the suction fan 8 as an air intake member takes the air outside the machine into the machine. In such a case, a memory table to indicate the number of revolutions of the air intake fan 8 to be changed according to the number of the print sheets is previously set and the number of revolutions of the air intake fan 8 is changed according to the number of the print sheets. The air taken in from this air intake fan 8 flows to the space near a fixing device 6 between the photosensitive drum 1 and the fixing device 6, by which the fixing nip and pressurizing roller are positively cooled. Also, the cooling of the photosensitive drum 1, a transfer roller 5, etc., is effected as well. |
