PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network system where the user can give network apparatuses specific apparatus numbers which do not overlap inside the system. SOLUTION: A network system 1 is equipped with a seal set 50, where a plurality of apparatus numbers for setting seal 51-58 where patterns are made at the rears are collected. In the network apparatus connected to the network system, a group of contacts, consisting of eight round contacts S1-S8 and one reference contact S0 are made, and when the apparatus number setting seal among the seal set is stuck to the contact group by the user, some round-shape contacts are connected to the reference contact through a conductive plate 65 on seal side, corresponding to the conductive pattern of the apparatus number setting seal. Then, the MPU of the network apparatus, whose terminal is connected to each contact, recognizes the apparatus number given to the network apparatus from the electric properties of this contact group.
