PURPOSE:To prevent the entire picture density from being changed by not disturbing the picture even through resolution conversion of the picture in the halftone mode in the facsimile equipment. CONSTITUTION:A picture mode detection section 41 of the facsimile equipment detects whether a received picture data is a binary data or a pseudo halftone data. A resolution conversion section 42 converts the picture data into a high resolution picture data while the picture data is smoothed when the received picture is the binary data and while the picture data is not smoothed and the density of the picture data is reduced when the received picture is the pseudo halftone data. |
