PARTIAL OXIDATION CATALYST AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a partial oxidation catalyst and a method for manufacturing the catalyst having high catalytic activity and selectivity even for organic compounds having a large molecular size. SOLUTION: The partial oxidation catalyst consists of a porous body of metal oxides containing organic groups. The metal oxides contain silicon atoms and titanium atoms as the metal atoms. At least part of the silicon atoms form carbon silicon bonds in two or more sites in the organic groups. Further, the porous body has 1.5 to 30 nm center pore diameter.
