<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp with a reflector using a ventilation plate which is inexpensive and is easily manufactured by embodying the construction of the ventilation plate covering a cut-off part of a reflector, and a method for attaching the reflector to the discharge lamp. <P>SOLUTION: The discharge lamp with reflector is designed so that a light emission tube is surrounded by the reflector and light reflected by the reflector radiates from a front glass disposed on the front opening part of the reflector. The lamp is provided with: the cut-off part which is disposed near the opening part of the reflector and allows cooling wind to ventilate the inside of the reflector; and the ventilation plate which is disposed so as to cover the cut-off part, is made of a single sheet of plate and has ventilation holes through which the fragments of the light emission tube cannot pass and an engagement part to be engaged with the front glass or the reflector. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
