<p>A polyolefin resin composition excellent in flame retardancy and mechanical properties and also in wearing resistance and an electric wire produced with the composition are provided. The polyolefin resin composition is characterized by containing, as a flame retardant, magnesium hydroxide particles which have a higher fatty acid bonded to part of the surface of the particles and further have a silicone oil having reactivity bonded to that part of the particles which does not have the higher fatty acid bonded thereto. The electric wire is characterized by having a sheath layer formed from the polyolefin resin composition.</p> |
