PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio receiver which automatically slacks off a speaking pace of announcement voices to output listenable voices when having received an interruption broadcasting of a digital audio broadcasting or multiplex FM broadcasting. SOLUTION: The radio receiver 50 can receive both a DAB and a RDS and besides detects a start of the interruption broadcasting W in a DAB or in the RDS to permit an interruption operation to automatically start. The radio receiver 50 is equipped with a control means whose controller 11 exercises control so as to release the interruption operation when having detected a termination of the interruption broadcasting W. Particularly, there is provided a speaking pace conversion system 12 which, when the control means has permitted the interruption operation to start, is allowed to be automatically started to exercise a speaking pace conversion process for delaying a speaking pace of announcement audio signals S1 of the interruption broadcasting W, thus outputting the delayed audio signals. Further, the radio receiver 50 is equipped with a speaking speed automatically converting function of the interruption broadcasting W for controlling the speaking pace conversion system 12 so as to halt automatically the speaking pace conversion process when having detected a termination of the interruption broadcasting W.
