PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continue to continuously feed paper sheets, irrespective of paper sheet jamming, in the case of continuously feeding certain-sized paper, in a paper sheet carrying device with plural paper feed trays and an image forming device using the paper sheet carrying device. SOLUTION: The paper sheet carrying device is provided with plural paper sheet feeding tray groups and a carrying unit for feeding the paper sheets from respective paper sheet feeding tray groups. Each paper sheet feeding tray group is provided with plural paper sheet feeding trays, respectively. And, the same- sized paper sheets are stored in plural paper sheet feeding trays. For example, in the case the paper sheet is jammed when the paper sheets are continuously fed from eight of the paper sheet feeding trays installed in a certain paper sheets feeding tray group (Y at S21), the paper sheet feeding tray with the same-sized paper sheets as that in use stored is searched out of other paper sheet feeding trays (S23), and in the case the required paper sheet feeding tray is searched (Y at S24), the tray is switched to the searched paper sheet feeding tray, then, the paper sheet is continuously fed (S25). |
