<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the communication quality of an optical signal by suppressing transient gain variation when the number of signal wavelengths is changed. <P>SOLUTION: The optical transmission device is provided with: an optical power control device 24 for making optical power variable in each wavelength component corresponding to a wavelength channel about light including signal light and natural emission light; a wavelength arrangement information acquiring part 6a for acquiring arrangement information of a wavelength channel of the signal light; and a control part 6b for controlling the power control device 24 so that the optical power of the wavelength component of the optical light is substantially equivalent to optical power about a wavelength other than the wavelength of the signal light, on the basis of the arrangement information acquired by the wavelength arrangement information acquiring part 6a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
