<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a hydrogen separation membrane-electrolyte membrane assembly capable of preventing a short circuit between a hydrogen separation membrane and a cathode, and of improving adhesion of the hydrogen separation membrane to the electrolyte membrane. <P>SOLUTION: This method of manufacturing a hydrogen separation membrane-electrolyte membrane assembly 100 includes: a first process of preparing a hydrogen separation membrane 10 having a first surface having average roughness Ra not smaller than a predetermined value; a second process of forming the hydrogen separation membrane-electrolyte membrane assembly by forming a first electrolyte membrane 20 on the first surface of the hydrogen separation membrane; a third process of applying a polishing process to a first electrolyte membrane-side surface of the hydrogen separation membrane-electrolyte membrane assembly; and a fourth process of forming a second electrolyte membrane 30 on the first electrolyte membrane-side surface of the hydrogen separation membrane-electrolyte membrane assembly. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
