METHOD FOR GENERATING CODEWORD IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A method for generating a codeword in a wireless communication system is provided efficiently to transmit information bit with less resources and acquire detection performance resistant to a channel estimation error. A method for generating a codeword in a wireless communication system includes the steps of: obtaining a primary unit by taking a row vector from an Nx(N-I) simplex code obtained by removing a first row from an NxN orthogonal matrix(S110); and mapping a control signal to the codeword obtained by combining a plurality of primary units(S120). The codeword is obtained by rotating phases of symbols formed by combining the primary units. The control signal is encoded for an MSB(Most Significant Bit) and an LSB(Least Significant Bit). The number of bits of the MSB is smaller than that of the LSB. The control signal is divided into a plurality of segments and each of the segments is encoded.
