PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing carpophores of insect parasite fungi from an insect body increased by infecting an insect with insect parasite fungi, suppressing decay of the carpophores, to enhance a favorable formation ratio of the carpophores and form the carpophores under stable condition. SOLUTION: The method for producing carpophores of insect parasite fungi comprises charging culture media 11 composed of porous substance and having total porosity of 70-90% and bacterial density of 0-0.5×10<SP>2</SP>cfu/g in a container, regulating the liquid phase ratio of the culture media into 35-65 wt.% so as to be in moist condition, and putting an insect body 12 obtained by inoculating the insect parasite fungi to the insect to be hardened to form carpophore rudiments, so as to generate the carpophores of the insect parasite fungi: wherein it is preferable to lower the temperature of the inside of the container to a dew point or lower so as to generate dew condensation on the surface of the porous substance and the insect body 12, and to bury the insect body in the culture media.
