PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To alleviate a working load in regulating or the like at a width regulator and to shorten a time for bookbinding. SOLUTION: The bookbinding processor bridges a moving transmission belt 4 for coupling a measuring element 2 by a coupler 9 over between a first pulley 5 and a second pulley 7, moves the belt in a direction of an arrow Za or Zb, and engages a linear guide 3 with the element 2. Then, the processor moves the belt 4 coupled with the element 2 in a direction of the arrow Za or Zb so as to brings one side face of a cover Q into contact with a stator 10 and with a measuring part of another side face, and linearly moves the element 2 along the guide 3 in a direction of an arrow W. A measured result is displayed on a display unit 14. When an input determining switch 13b is turned ON, the result is input to a controller. The controller forms a control signal for controlling a width regulator or a cover positioning unit of a bookbinder based on the result. |
