<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas treatment device capable of surely diluting anode offgas. <P>SOLUTION: A diluter 50 discharges anode offgas discharged from a fuel cell by diluting with air, and is provided with a box-shaped first case 51 with anode offgas discharged from the fuel cell flown into and one face to be as an open face, a box-shaped second case 52 with air flown into, one face to be as an open face and arranged so as the open face to be faced to that of the first case 51, and a partition board 53 intervened between the open faces of the first case 51 and the second case 52 and with a communication hole 531 formed for communicating a retention chamber 61 and a mixing chamber 62.
