PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience when a recorded moving image is viewed. SOLUTION: A cellular phone is provided with: a tuner which receives digital broadcast; a recording part which records compressed moving image data; an AV decoder which decodes the compressed image data to output the moving image; a state storage part which stores state information in which a reference frame determined to succeed in decoding next to a reference frame determined to fail in the decoding is associated with positional information indicating a temporal position of the frame; and a playback part which displays the moving image by decoding the recorded compressed moving image data. The playback part includes a future image display part (S17) which displays the reference frame associated with the positional information indicating a future position closest to the temporal position of the reference frame determined to fail in the decoding as a future image when it is determined to fail in the decoding by the determination part (YES in S12).
