PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a light guide plate capable of reducing a mold preparation cost and the lead time and also excelling in mass production. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a sheet-like light guide plate for guiding incoming light, converting its path, and outputting illumination light in a planar form from the main surface to an object to be illuminated includes a process for forming a preset microscopic optical pattern 3 for optical path conversion on the surface of a translucent resin sheet by a single mold to make a large light guide sheet, and a process for cutting the large light guide sheet 4 into a plurality of small light guide plates 5 of a preset size.
