PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method which form a better visible image by paying attention to the cause area of the degradation in quality called the "Hakiyose like tire tracks" phenomenon and considering the manner of generating it, thereby suppressing the degradation in the quality of the visible image caused by the occurrence of the "Hakiyose like tire tracks" phenomenon, and to provide a medium stored with a program. SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus, when "Hakiyose like tire tracks" correction is required, it is checked how much it is easy to sense the "Hakiyose like tire tracks" phenomenon from the color of an attention object and when an adjacent object exists, it is checked how much it is easy to sense the "Hakiyose like tire tracks" phenomenon from the color of the adjacent object. Then, it is checked how much it is easy to sense the "Hakiyose like tire tracks" phenomenon from the angle of an attention contour in a conveying direction. It is checked how much it is easy to sense the "Hakiyose like tire tracks" phenomenon, based on the usage of each color developer. A correction object by which the "Hakiyose like tire tracks" phenomenon is hardly sensed is produced from these results and this area information is inserted into intermediate data.
